Everybody agrees ACC teams won’t give up SEC rival games for alliance. I believe that is true and they shouldn’t. For football.

BIG ACC PAC refuse to schedule basketball games outside of the alliance. Basketball outside the alliance (SEC) would be rendered completely irrelevant. Yes, football is driving force and more money, but basketball is big money and is no joke.

Most of the current SEC outside FL and UK may not give bball a thought. Texas, however dominant football may be, wants to be king of everything. They want a piece of every pie. It eats at them if they don’t. Superiority complex to the extreme. They did not have big dreams of LHN just for showcasing football alone.

How happy will Texas be long term if basketball and many Olympic sports have no hopes to ever be anything more than a joke sideshow for them, all the while they get shutout of football playoff that’s restricted to four P4 champs because that’s what the alliance will hold it to.

No exit penalty in SEC? Texas will start flirting with national brand alliance and create even more turbulence in SEC than they did BIG XII. When they leave, SEC will have been big-timed in a big way and their regionally isolated one trick pony will wish they had a vision for more than just the short term returns.
